Boeing reported $89.463 billion in revenue in 2025. With about 182,000 workers in 2025, that translated to $491,555 in revenue per employee. That compared to the average of $642,000 in revenue per employee for companies in the S&P 500 Index, according to an August 2025 post by Chart Kid Matt, a blog that tracks the stock market and market data. 

Who are the highest-paid employees at Boeing?

Executives were among the highest-paid employees at Boeing, with stock and cash awards tied to meeting internal performance targets boosting their total compensation.

Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg was the highest-paid employee, earning $1.5 million in 2025, and he also had the highest compensation, with $23.58 million. Other executives had base salaries much lower, starting at around $400,000, but their compensation was much higher. Jesus Malave, who was promoted to CFO in 2025, earned almost $400,000 but had a bonus of $8.5 million, and his compensation totaled $20 million.

Boeing’s CEO pay ratio

Ortberg posted total compensation of $23.58 million in 2025, and the median employee compensation was $141,933. That put the CEO pay ratio at 166 to 1. That’s the same multiple as Nvidia’s, which is the biggest publicly traded company with a market capitalization approaching $5 trillion.

Where do most of Boeing’s employees work?

The majority of Boeing’s employees work at the company’s facilities in the U.S., and 14% are located outside the country. Its biggest facilities are in the Seattle, Washington area, where it makes its commercial aircraft, and in the St. Louis, Missouri area, where it builds military aircraft and weapons.
