Walt Disney does not always give families a heads-up when something new is ready at one of its theme parks.
Sometimes it just opens the doors.
That is what happened at Animal Kingdom, where one of the most talked-about new experiences at Walt Disney World quietly welcomed its first guests ahead of schedule. The reaction was immediate.
If you have a young child and you are planning a Disney trip, you need to know about this.
What opened early and where to find it
Disney’s new Bluey’s Wild World experience is located at Conservation Station inside Rafiki’s Planet Watch at Animal Kingdom. Getting there requires boarding the Wildlife Express Train from Harambe Station.
Disney has already updated the train’s audio to feature Bluey characters, voiced by wildlife personality Robert Irwin.
The soft opening on May 25 ran with a standby queue, no virtual queue required.
That made it a rare walk-in opportunity for a brand-new Disney experience, according to Blog Mickey. It was not going to last.
How the experience works starting May 26
From May 26 onward, a virtual queue is required through the My Disney Experience app, according to Disney Parks Blog. Two daily windows are available: 7 a.m., when guests do not need to be inside the park yet, and 10 a.m., when valid park admission and presence inside Animal Kingdom are both required.
The virtual queue covers the full package: the train ride, Bluey’s Wild World itself, the new Jumping Junction outdoor area, and the Animal Care experiences at Conservation Station. Disney says it expects to open a standby queue at a later date, but there is no timeline yet.
What guests will actually experience inside
The interior of Conservation Station has been transformed to match the aesthetic of the animated series. Bluey and Bingo appear in full character alongside cast members in custom Bluey-themed costuming.
The activities pull directly from the show. Butterfly Keepy Uppy gets an animal twist. Magic Asparagus makes an appearance too.
Bubbles, dancing, and themed games round out the experience alongside Bluey and Bingo character appearances.

Outside, the former Affection Section petting zoo has been replaced by Jumping Junction, a new space featuring Australian animals including kangaroos and wallabies. The Conservation Station’s veterinary care exhibits are staying put.
May 26 marks the first-ever appearance of Bluey and Bingo at Walt Disney World, according to Disney Tourist Blog. No end date has been announced for the experience, and Disney’s expectation is that it stays as long as demand supports it.

Why Disney is betting big on Bluey at Animal Kingdom
Bluey is the most-watched children’s program on Disney+ and one of the fastest-growing kids’ franchises globally. Bringing it to Animal Kingdom is not a small decision.
Disney has positioned Bluey’s Wild World as the centerpiece of its Cool Kids’ Summer seasonal push at Walt Disney World. The placement inside Conservation Station is deliberate.
Bluey is an Australian show, and Jumping Junction’s Australian animals tie the franchise to a space that already has an educational and conservation identity.
Character-driven interactive experiences like this one serve a specific strategic purpose. They are faster and cheaper to launch than major ride expansions but can generate meaningful traffic, merchandise revenue, and social media attention.
If the response to Bluey’s Wild World is strong, Disney has a template it can replicate with other high-demand family franchises.

What this means for Disney investors and park visitors
For investors, Bluey’s Wild World is a low-capital way to drive traffic and merchandise sales during a summer period when Disney needs families choosing its parks over competitors. The early soft opening was free marketing. Social media posts from surprised guests generated organic buzz before the official launch.
For families planning a visit, the virtual queue is the gate. The 7am window does not require being inside the park yet, which helps with planning.
Missing both daily windows means missing the experience entirely. Plan accordingly.
Disney has not ruled out a future standby queue, but during the opening period the virtual queue is the only path in. For families with Bluey fans, the My Disney Experience app is the first stop, not the park entrance.
