For a few days each month, Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards lets its members save up to 50% on award tickets to select destinations through its Global Getaways promotion. Global Getaways is part of the monthly Atmos Members Day promotion, held on the first Wednesday of each month.
Here’s a look at the September Global Getaways offers. But remember to jump on these deals soon, as you must book them by Sept. 5.

One example of a route covered by this month’s promotion is the following itinerary from New York to London. It costs just 20,000 points and $26 in taxes and fees. While writing this story, we saw 20,000-point award options on this route on most dates.
As an added bonus, if you have the Atmos™ Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® credit card, the partner bookings fee is waived, so your cost drops to just 20,000 points and $6.
You’ll also see ample availability to Taipei for 30,000 points. For example, you can fly from New York to Taipei for just 30,000 points and $26 in taxes and fees (or $6 if you are an Atmos Summit cardholder).
Availability to Tokyo for just 27,500 points is much more limited, especially from the East Coast, but here’s an example we found on Hawaiian Airlines from New York to Tokyo for just 27,500 points and $6 in taxes and fees.
And if you can fly from the West Coast, availability is better.
Plus, you can fly from Honolulu to Tokyo for just 20,000 points and $6 in taxes and fees.
We even found less expensive awards than listed to La Paz, Mexico. Specifically, you can fly from Los Angeles to La Paz for 15,000 points and $64 in taxes and fees on select dates.
However, we found no availability at the listed starting rates to Apia, Samoa, or Athens, Greece. So, don’t be surprised if you don’t find any awards at the starting rates for those destinations.

How to book Atmos Rewards Global Getaways
To book one of these Atmos Rewards Global Getaways, go to the Alaska Airlines or Hawaiian Airlines website, log in to your account, click the “Use points” box and enter your desired itinerary before clicking “Search flights.”
We also recommend clicking the “Flexible dates” box, which will load a calendar view of the lowest award rates for each date.
If you aren’t seeing the lowest award rates on your ideal route, consider whether it might be worth positioning to a major hub such as New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle or San Francisco. This can be particularly important when booking through Atmos Rewards since the program doesn’t allow you to combine two partners in a single booking. So, while you can book an itinerary with Alaska Airlines or Hawaiian Airlines and one other partner, you can’t book an award with two partners (such as an American Airlines flight that connects to a British Airways flight).

How to earn Atmos Rewards points
There are multiple ways to earn Atmos Rewards points. You can, of course, earn them by flying Alaska Airlines or Hawaiian Airlines. The carriers also partner with over 30 airlines, including (but not limited to) members of the Oneworld alliance.
The Atmos Rewards cobranded credit cards are also a good way to accumulate points. You can earn points on purchases with these cards, but their welcome offers are also a good way to boost your account balance.

You can also transfer Bilt Points to Atmos Rewards at a 1:1 ratio and Marriott Bonvoy points to Atmos Rewards at a 3:1 ratio.

Bottom line
The Atmos Rewards Global Getaways deals are an excellent opportunity for travelers who want to book travel to the highlighted destinations, can book their flights within a few days and can travel during the specified time period. However, you may want to book even quicker than the Sept. 5 deadline, as the best dates will likely disappear as other travelers book.
And if you are striving for Atmos Rewards status, keep in mind that you’ll earn status points on Atmos Rewards award tickets. So, it could be worth booking a trip to Tokyo before the end of 2026 if you’re running short on status points.
