It’s hard to remember a time when we weren’t tethered to technology 24 hours a day. That said, it’s also hard to imagine accomplishing much of anything without our laptop computers. With the explosion of remote working during the pandemic years, laptops pretty much became our lifeline to each other and the world. That’s why we were surprised and pleased to find a brand-name laptop at Amazon for less than a tank of gas. This deal is likely to sell out quickly, so we recommend buying sooner rather than later.
The Lenovo N21 Chromebook Laptop is just $60 at the moment. A similar Chromebook option from Samsung costs nearly $30 more at Amazon, so this is a special buy if we’ve ever seen one.

If you think this computer is so affordable because it’s skimpy on the specs, think again. The laptop has 4 gigabytes (GB) of RAM and 16 GB of ROM for maximum performance. That means you don’t have to worry about lagging or freeze-ups during regular daily operation. You can have multiple apps and programs running at the same time without any interruptions. It also includes a powerful Intel Celeron N2840 processor. It’s a solid workhorse from a known brand that definitely won’t disappoint. My personal laptop has a Celeron processor with similar specs, and I’ve gotten years of use out of it without a single complaint.
The computer’s 11.6-inch screen is an absolute marvel. It is a touchscreen model that offers all the convenience of a personal tablet with the computing power of a full-fledged laptop. Though a larger screen might be preferable to some, this smaller size is great for portability. The LED-lit display can produce millions of colors, and it’s the perfect tool for watching your favorite shows and movies. It has a resolution of 1366 by 768 pixels, so you get the best images and videos possible at this price point. The laptop has a capacitive touchscreen, which is an intriguing technology. It detects electrical impulses from the human hand and translates them into reactions on the screen.
As with any Chromebook computer, this one utilizes an Android operating system to manage operations. That makes it incredibly convenient for users, young and old, who spend most of their time on their phones or tablets. It uses the same commands and functions as these more diminutive counterparts, and many users find Chromebooks to be superior in form and function to standard laptops with more traditional operating systems. While additional models with different spec levels would be nice, this is a great everyday choice for most uses.Â
