Home Depot only closes two days a year
Home Depot is one of those stores that rarely closes. In fact, Home Depot only closes two days each year: Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Home Depot, Inc. accounts for 52.4% of the home improvement market ($149.5 billion a year), according to data from IBISWorld. Still, visits to Home Depot have been down, so the company needs to keep its doors open as many days as possible.
Home Depot’s foot traffic declined about 3.8% year over year in Q1 2026, according to Placer.ai data shared on Yahoo Finance.
Other stores open on Easter Sunday
